Life changes, and so can your profile. You're in control — all of these options are under Settings > Account.
Pause your profile (take a break)
Need some time off? Pausing hides your profile from others until you're ready to return — and it's fully reversible.
- Go to Settings > Account.
- On "Pause my profile," tap Pause profile.
- Optionally choose a reason and add a note.
- Confirm. A banner will remind you your profile is paused.
To come back, just tap Reactivate — your profile goes live again instantly.
Found your match? Close your profile
Congratulations! When you've found your partner, you can close your profile:
- Go to Settings > Account and open "I found my match."
- Tell us how you found them — through Rishtay Walay or elsewhere.
- If through us, pick your partner from your connections.
- Choose your stage — in talks, engaged, or married — and confirm.
Your profile is then closed. If you named a Rishtay Walay partner, we'll ask them to confirm the match. You can request to reopen your profile later if needed.
Delete your account
If Rishtay Walay isn't working out, you can permanently delete your account:
- Go to Settings > Account and open "Delete my account."
- Choose a reason (optional feedback helps us improve).
- Enter your password to confirm.
Deletion is permanent — only our admin team can restore an account. Prefer a break instead? Choose Pause rather than delete.
